1. The three components of the American System were establishing a new protective tariff, starting a new transportation system and restoring the national bank. Henry Clay thought that each of these components would strengthen and unify the nation because he thought the American system would unite the nationââ¬â¢s economic resources because the south would grow food and raise animals that the north would eat and in return the south would by the manufactured goods the north made. A new transportation system would allow trade between the north and the south. Now America could finally become independent economically. And the tariff would help because during the War of 1812 British merchants brought a great deal of products to the United States and sold them at much lower prices than American made goods, so the tariff would raise the prices of the British goods so the American merchants could sell their products at a lower price. à à à à à 2. Intergovernmental Organisations Essay
a) Explain how membership of intergovernmental organisations gives some countries political and economic power. (10) Being a member of intergovernmental organisations does give some countries political and economic power. Like figure 4 shows, the USA is part of many intergovernmental organisations and they have the status of a superpower showing there are clear benefits of being a part of IGOs. However, some may argue that countries such as China and India are rising in both political and economic power yet like figure 4 shows, they are barely part of the leading IGOs. Therefore, membership of intergovernmental organisations does give some countries political and economic benefits but there is evidence to show that not being apart of an IGO still allows for development in a countries wealth and political stance. Economically, being a part of the World Trade Organisation like many leading superpowers are (for example, the UK and the USA) does allow for these leading countries to have influence in trade decisions. This means that they can benefit economic decisions to suit themselves. For example, the USA can exploit LDCââ¬â¢s such as Bangladesh by taking more imports for a less expensive price. Furthermore, being a member of the International Monetary Fund means that countries have the voting power to influence the economic policies of other countries. Thus these countries can create friendly policies towards TNCs that are based in their own country, greatly benefiting their own wealth. Additionally, being apart of the EU and NATO in which many of the countries that are part of many IGOs are part of have trade blocs which can cater for the protection of key markets and still help intraregional trade. Therefore it does seem that economic power of a country does improve with the help of being a part of IGOs such as the World Trade Organisation.

Christians Are The Ones Waiting For Coming Of God s Kingdom
We Christians are the ones waiting for coming of Godââ¬â¢s kingdom. Godââ¬â¢s kingdom has come in Jesus Christ. However, this leads to the subsequent question; then, why are the evil and sin still rampant in this world? In this essay, the nature of the kingship of Jesus in the gospel of Mark shall be discussed in further detail. Mark indicates that Jesus is a ââ¬Å"messiah (christ)â⬠. This word can be seen in the very beginning of the gospel, starting with ââ¬Å"The beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.â⬠(1:1) Ferreira points out that it is widely believed among the scholars that the word ââ¬Å"good news (gospel)â⬠have been ââ¬Å"associated with Roman imperial cult where it was used in connection with the proclamation of the emperorââ¬â¢s appearance as the divine world-ruler and the inauguration of His reign.â⬠Hence, the phrase ââ¬Å"the good news of Jesus Christ, the son of Godâ⬠conveys the more significant message to the reader: the new rule of God. In Jesusââ¬â¢ time, Jews were longing for their new anointed king, who is the descendants of David and is hoped to drive out the Roman Empire from Palestine in order to obtain the everlasting righteousness, peace, and prosperity (cf. 24, 145; Isa. 2:2-4; 49:10-13; Jer. 9:24; 23:5-6; Daniel2, 7). Howe ver, their expectation that the messiah should be glorious and powerful enough to control all over the world was disappointed, since the messiah is a ââ¬Å"son of manâ⬠with weakness and misery. Microeconomics Product or Service
Question: Discuss about theMicroeconomicsfor Product or Service. Answer: Introduction Utility refers to the amount of satisfaction that an individual derives by consuming a product or service. According to the law of diminishing marginal utility, the satisfaction level of the individual decreases with the increase in the units consumed of a product or service by using a limited amount of resource within a given point of time (Mankiw and Taylor, 2014). Two examples in which the law of diminishing marginal utility is applicable are presented herein below: Have lunch in restaurant: When I have a pizza in a restaurant, I will buy a particular amount of product to satisfy my hunger. Any amount of pizza more than the desired quantity will lead to negative utility. Buying water in hot summer: When I am thirsty and have a single source of water, I will be ready to pay a greater amount for the first glass of water as compared to the second and thereafter. After I quench my thirst, I will not pay further money to the water seller for any more glass of water. Hence, the law of diminishing marginal utility is applicable in both the cases (Salvatore and Salvatore, 2011). Now, the case in which the law of diminishing marginal utility fails for an individual is when a person buys a luxury product and has enough monetary backup to buy more products. For instance, a painting collector will buy more new paintings when the price of the product is high, irrespective of previously buying a painting within a particular period. Hence, the law of diminishing marginal utility is not applicable in the most of the cases of luxurious and historical products. References Mankiw, N. and Taylor, M. (2014). Microeconomics. 1st ed. Korea, Two Pieces Of A Puzzle Essays - , Term Papers
Korea, Two Pieces Of A Puzzle Korea Two Pieces of a Puzzle Korea is a nation that is rich with culture and corruption. Korea has been a unified nation for over 1500 years and in that time they have been persecuted and then divided. Before all this happened the Koreans were becoming a very culturally enriched society. Around the same time as the fall of the Roman Empire the Koreans were coming up with new ideas on architecture, art, science and even a central government. The Korean people lived in peace for 500 years under the rule of Choson (Yi) dynasty. After Japan defeated China in 1895 and then the Russians in 1905, Korea was then under complete control by the Japanese. This is when the Japanese entered the scene. When the Japanese took over they first annexed Choson in 1910 and then began their attempt to destroy the Korean culture for the next 35 years. The Korean government was taken over; every upper level government position was taken from the Koreans. The Japanese went as far as to outlaw the Korean language and even tried to ban Korean family names. Not until the end of World War II, was when the Koreans finally overcame Japans rule. At the end of World War II is when Korea became a divided country. The United States, Great Britain and the former U.S.S.R defeated nazi Germany and then went on to take out Japan. After Japan was out of the picture the U.S., U.S.S.R. and Great Britain decided that Korea should become their own nation once again. The U.S. was to accept the Japanese defeat south of the 38th parallel and the Russians were to accept the Japanese defeat north of the 38th parallel. This was the first step into dividing the Koreans as a people. All forces and all foreign military were to be evacuated from Korea; this is what was supposed to happen. What actually happened was a result of the Cold War tensions. Because of the Cold war the Russians imposed a Communist government on all Koreans north of the 38th parallel and the United States imposed a nationalist/capitalist democracy south of 38th parallel. After the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. imposed their own style of government on Korea came the formation of th e Democratic Peoples Republic of Korean in the north and in the south was the Republic of Korea, in 1948. With the differences between the two governments the people were pushed apart. There were attempts to bring Korea back to a whole but it just ended up in the Korean War. With the onset of the Korean War the United States decided to help the South Koreans because of the help that the North Koreans were getting by the Russians. Eventually the U.S. decided to send troops. After a long battle and an astonishing number of deaths the war was back at the 38th parallel. General Douglas MacArthur, who was the commander of the U.N. forces in Korea, wanted North Koreas defeat and to invade China. This was not what Harry S. Truman wanted to do at all. Since the two had different opinions and MacArthurs were strong Truman replaced MacArthur as commander. After the end of the Korean War Korea was unchanged. The north is still a communist government and the south is still a capitalistic society. The people that reside in Korea still remain Korean. After all the people of Korea have gone through they have kept their rich Korean culture. Since the end of the Cold War between the U.S. and the former U.S.S.R., Korea has kept the war alive.
